How hard is the ride?
Mostly flat, with one small hill.
The ride is approximately 15 km on road, small concrete farmers paths, dirt as well as some small pathways right through the rice paddies and in amongst the orchards.
I am a hardcore rider. Can I do a longer / harder ride?
Yes. We will point you in the right direction.
What will the weather be like?
September is very warm, despite being three weeks into autumn on the lunar calendar. Think of it as summer with the edge taken off.
What are the farmers doing? Rice is usually beginning to turn yellow in the fields ready for harvest. Persimmons and Pomello’s will also be appearing.
How do I book on the bullet train to Yangshuo
The closest station is Gongcheng – 2 hours from Guangzhou and 2.45 hours from Shenzhen.

Do I need to bring my own bike?
No, but you can if you like. The full package price includes bike hire for the two days of the festival. For those just joining on the day – bikes can be rented from Bike Asia or many other places around town.
Can I bring the kids?
Please do. If they can ride a bike confidently – the route should not be a problem. We will also be working with our local partners at Insite who organise school programmes as a busines – to have activities ( biking, fan making, climbing, helmet painting) around the campsite for parents with kids who are too young to ride. Kids under ten with their own parents are half price.
